Before you apply for a healthcare job in the UAE
Prepare one accurate profile that you can keep current, then assess each opportunity on its own details. This checklist helps doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists and allied health professionals start a useful recruitment conversation.
Check your professional record
Bring together qualification names, institutions, employment dates, specialty experience and current licensing information. Resolve differences in names and dates before sharing documents. Keep your CV concise and factual; explain career gaps without including unnecessary personal information.
Choose a realistic search area
Decide which emirates and employment patterns work for you. Consider travel, relocation, working hours and your notice period. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are distinct work locations; an opportunity in one may not meet a preference for another.
Confirm the role with its employer
Ask about duties, reporting lines, working hours, location, total compensation and the written offer. Discuss licensing and credential requirements with the relevant authority and employer. Do not assume that recruitment registration or a positive verification report authorises you to practise.
Control your information
Keep your candidate profile private. Choose whether AIHHS can review it and approve each named clinic introduction. Newsletter enrollment is optional and separate from recruitment sharing. Withdraw access when your plans change and keep availability current when you accept a role.
